On Nov. 7, 2023, we cooperate with Iwate Nino-he city which boasts the highest production volume of lacquer in Japan is proceeding project “lacquer tree forestation”, as a partner company. The ”Traditional skills, techniques and knowledge for the conservation and transmission of wooden architecture in Japan” including “Urushi tpping technique” are registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2021.

Nakaya will support laquer forest maintenance, management, and conservation activities in the Nino-he city area to produce good quality laquer, cooperating with Platinum Pen Co.,LTD..
