Due to the Noto Peninsula earthquake on January 1st, the lacquerware industry in Wajima suffered significant damage. However, with the support of many people over the past six months, we have managed to partially restore our production line. We are pleased to inform you that we will resume accepting orders for some products starting Tuesday, September 10th.
1. Price Revision
In light of the post-earthquake surge in the cost of lacquer materials, we would like to announce a revision in our product prices. Please refer to the product pages for detailed pricing information.
2. Services Resuming
a) Urushi lacquer repairs: We will generally resume accepting repairs. However, please understand that some repairs may not be possible.
b) Maki-e naming: It is not expected to resume. But for special orders, it may be possible, so please consult with us.
c) Zo-gan inlay on grip section: It is not expected to resume.
