All nibs of Nakaya fountain pens are made with 14K nibs produced by Platinum Pen Co.
The 14K nibs are highly resistant to acids, allowing them to withstand long-term use without rusting or corroding, even with acidic inks. Additionally, the flexibility of 14K gold provides a pleasant bounce while writing, resulting in an excellent writing experience.
Resistance to Platinum Pen Co. inks has been confirmed; however, resistance to inks from other manufacturers has not been verified, so please use them with caution.
Note that the design of the nib may change without prior notice, but this will not affect writing performance.

For customers who wish to select the Music nib, please note that it cannot be chosen via the order form. Kindly proceed with the default nib selection, and mention your request for the Music nib in the “Requests” section at the end of STEP 06: Customer Information. Please note that an additional fee will be charged for the Music nib.
Elastic customization
Elastic customization refers to a paid customization process that enhances the flexibility of the nib by partially cutting both sides of the nib. When our soft nibs (soft fine and soft medium) undergo Elastic customization, their flexibility increases further; however, some users may find it slightly more challenging to write with. Please note that when processing dyed nibs, the cuts may interfere with the design.
Nib color change
This is a paid customization that changes the color of the nib by applying plating. You can choose from four colors: a two-tone plating that preserves the original gold color with rhodium, as well as plating in pink gold, rhodium, and ruthenium.
