This is a unique design drawing a silver moon boldly on a Kuro-roiro (black) base.
Piling up silver powders many times to create a three-dimensional effect and the uneven texture of the moon’s surface.
In addition, applying black lacquer from the surface of the moon towards the outside and polishing it to make it gradually getting lower express the dark side of the moon.

Cigar Portable FOX & HARVEST MOON　

A fox and the moon are drawn with Tamesukashi technique. To express white fur, if it is just put silver powders on the motif drawn with tamesukashi, only the parts will be appear to stand out. So, after drawing the fox with Tame Sukashi technique, adding transparent amber lacquer to the entire surface of the motif to create a slightly plump relief shape. Then, splinkleing silver powders to the abdomen and tip of tail to express white fur. The pampas grasses are drawn with Yako Maki-e technique to give it depth.
A fox footprint on the grip section with Tamesukashi technique also.

Cigar Portable WHITE ROSES

The standard color, Shu(vermilion) is used for the base and rose motifs are drawn on it with ivory white.
The design was inspired by the ivory combs and hairpins decorated using Shu(vermilion) color during the Edo period. The motifs are drawn with caring the balance between the rose flowers and vines and the Shu(vermilion) in the base color.
Due to drawing the rose motif in traditional colors, it creates a beautiful retro-modern atmosphere.

Cigar Piccolo LOTUS FLOWER　

One motif on the grip section by the highest technique (Taka-Makie).

A motif is a lotus flower on Gold Nashiji gradation and put colors by rubbing into Shu(red) and green.

There is only one part of motif, but elegant and beautiful.

Cigar Piccolo BUTTERFLY　

The butterfly that symbolizes human growth, change, and beauty, are used as a motif.
Pasting thinly pressed gold powders to the butterfly, and drawing the outline and overlay of butterfly wings with color grinding gold.
The gold lines are expressed pasting thinly pressed gold powders and covered the edges with urushi.
The black lacquer base makes the butterfly wings even more beautiful and stand out.

Dorsal Fin 1 Kuro-tame Ishime

This model has a fin on the cap that acts as a roll stopper.
“Ishime kanshitsu, Kuro-tamenuri” uses the shu (vermilion) lacquer for a base color and a black dry lacquer powder.
The finish becomes rough and powerful like a lava, the same as “Ishime kanshitsu, Aka-tamenuri”.
“Ishime kanshitsu, Kuro-tamenuri” has a darker color because it uses the shuai urushi lacquer mixed with black lacquer for the finish.
“Ishime” is created with the special technique that makes stone like texture on the surface.
When the dry lacquer powder is sprinkled on a lacquered surface, surface tension works and the powder gathered in places.
Making use of the clumps created by chance, layer the lacquer, let it fix, and then polish it to create “Ishime”.
It will be the “cobblestone-like” finish in the garden.

Dorsal Fin 1 Aka-tame Ishime

This model has a fin on the cap that acts as a roll stopper.
It is designed with the image of a knife.
” Ishime kanshitsu, Aka-tamenuri” uses the shu (vermilion) lacquer for a base color and a black dry lacquer powder, and finishs with a shu-ai lacquer.
It is similar to “Ishime kanshitsu, Kuro-tamenuri” finish but it has more reddish color. So it seems like a hot lava.
“Ishime” is created with the special technique that makes stone like texture on the surface. When the dry lacquer powder is sprinkled on a lacquered surface, surface tension works and the powder gathered in places.
Making use of the clumps created by chance, layer the lacquer, let it fix, and then polish it to create “Ishime”.
