Cigar Long Kuro Ishime

”Kuro Ishime” uses black lacquer for a base color and black dry lacquer powder.
It has a beautiful jet black finish that looks like an obsidian.

“Ishime” is created with the special technique that makes stone like texture on the surface. When the dry lacquer powder is sprinkled on a lacquered surface, surface tension works and the powder gathered in places.
Making use of the clumps created by chance, layer the lacquer, let it fix, and then polish it to create “Ishime”. It will be the “cobblestone-like” finish in the garden.

Cigar Portable Midori Ishime

”Midori Ishime” uses a special blue-green color lacquer for a base color and the same color dry lacquer powder.
The beautiful finish reminds of a turquoise with a color between blue and green.

Cigar Portable Kikyo Ishime　

“Kikyo Ishime” uses the blue, we called “Kikyo” lacquer for a base color and a blue dry lacquer powder.
The brilliant finish resembles lapis lazuli which has a deep blue color that seems to draw you in.

Writer Long Izumi no Kami Kanesada　

The design is modeled after the sword mountings (“koshirae”) of Toshizo Hijikata’s beloved sword, “Izumi no Kami Kanesada”.
The body was painted using a technique called “Honshu Kanshitsu Kuronurikomi Togidashi”, apply black lacquer to vermilion “ishime” and polish. A phoenix motif is drawn on the barrel with charcoal powder, and a peony motif is drawn on the cap with black lacquer.
The both tips of the pen are made to look like a scabbard tip of sword, “kojiri”, and are finished with charcoal powder to make them matte and fringe it with gold.
For the grip section, a paper mulberry leaf is drawn with silver on a charcoal powder finish base, and draw the veins of the leaf with black lacquer on it, then applied transparent blackish amber lacquer and polished it.
Using various techniques, we have created a piece that resembles the real sword mountings of the sword.

Miyabigi Series KAGOAMIME

Based on the “Rattan Basket” fountain pen of Platinum Fountain Pens CO.,LTD. (produced around year 1924), it is designed in rectilinear form that was mainstream at the time covering with a bamboo basket knitted hexagonally using thinly shaved bamboo. The size is almost the same as Piccolo size.
The end of the cap and barrel, the grip section, and the basket are painted with black lacquer. The parts under the baske are finished with washed vermilion (Arai-shu) lacquer.

*”Hexagonal knitting” is the most popular bamboo knitting which the mesh looks like hexagon.

Miyabigi Series PHERNAMBUCO　

It is the same rectilinear form as “Bamboo Basket Mesh” and set the coveres made from Pernambuco. The size is almost the same as Piccolo but 1~2mm thicker because of the covers.
The end of the cap and barrel, the grip section are painted with black lacquer.
Because Pernambuco is a natural material, each wood grain and color will vary each other. To take advantage of the wood texture, It is only polished. Please be careful not to get ink on it because it is not coated. Also, since Pernambuco was originally used as a raw material for dyes, the color may transfer due to sweat or etc.

Pernambuco is a rare material native to Brazil and is used for the bows of stringed instruments. Due to excessive logging in Brazil, it is now protected by CITES and is difficult to obtain.

Miyabigi Series EIBOKU

The unique pattern of black and gray blending with the warmth of the wood grain contrasts with the chic and calm design.

The name “Eiboku” expresses the simplicity of the combination of the shadow-like pattern and the grain of the wood.

Since the decoration matches the grain of the wood, the expression of the urushi lacquer part differs from one piece to another.

Miyabigi Series KOHAKUBOKU

The wood is decorated with Urusih Nashiji technique.  The deep brown hue and fine shimmer like gold dust are distinctive and very elegant. 

The design, in which the grain of the wood is visible, also evokes a sense of natural and traditional beauty.

The name “amber wood” was chosen to express the transparency and warmth of the amber-like hue.
